In 2009, she was appointed Deputy Chief of Staff at the US Department of State. About Gina Adams

Gina F. Adams is the Corporate Vice President for Government and Regulatory Affairs at FedEx Corporation. A lawyer and its top lobbyist, she promotes the policy and political interests of all FedEx operating subsidiaries, while overseeing one of the largest corporate PACs in the United States.

After receiving a BS (School of Public Affairs) from American University, a JD from Howard University School of Law and an LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from Georgetown University Law Center, Ms. Adams began her professional career in the Attorney Honors Program at the U.S. Department of Transportation. Ms. Adams joined FedEx in 1992 and is a four-time recipient of the FedEx Five Star Award, the company's highest employee achievement award.

She also sits on a number of boards in the non-profit and business sectors: Vice Chair of the American University Board of Governors; Vice Chair of the Board of the Economic Club of Washington; Howard University School of Law Board of Visitors, National Museum of Women in the Arts; the French- American Foundation; the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation; the National Air and Space Museum; and the Washington Mutual Investors Fund board (American Funds).

Ms. Adams has an Honorary Doctor of Laws from Trinity University, Washington D.C., and is a past chair of the DC Chamber of Commerce, a participant at the Aspen Institute’s Family Prosperity Innovation Community and a 2018 inductee into the D.C. Hall of Fame. In the same year, she was honored by the American Association of Airport Executives Foundation with a permanently endowed scholarship for female students enrolled in accredited aviation programs. She was recognized in 2022 by the Economic Club of Washington, D.C. with the inaugural Arne M. Sorenson Excellence in Leadership Award for her efforts in strengthening ties between the local business, civic, diplomatic, and philanthropic communities. In 2021 and 2022, Washingtonian Magazine named her one of its most influential people.
